Getting to Eastgate
Public Transport
Eastgate is a major hub for buses, including the below routes:
155 Eastgate/Lyttelton Shopper Service
The Bus stops for lines 5, 80, 140, 155, and the Orbiter are located on Buckleys Road, outside the food court entrance.
Driving
If driving to Eastgate, you can enter the carpark via Cranley St/Linwood Avenue or Russell Street/Buckleys Road.
Eastgate Mall Parking
Ample parking can be found at Eastgate Mall.
If the mall is bustling, parking at the overflow carpark between Cuba St and Chelsea St and following the walkway alongside The Warehouse will save you time and your sanity.
Eastgate for Kids
There is a playground upstairs, as well as a selection of coin-operated rides for young children.
The library hosts story times (Thursday 10.00-10.30 am) and baby times for under 2s (Friday 11.00 – 11.30 am), and an afterschool club from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm on Thursdays.

Fast Food at Eastgate/Linwood
In the Eastgate complex, there is a Subway, Domino’s Pizza restaurant, and a Mcdonald’s restaurant (with playland upstairs and lots of seating options).
Over the carpark between Cranley, Cuba, and Chelsea Streets are KFC and Taco Bell, both with Drive-thru options.
Burger King is across the road on the opposite corner of Linwood Avenue and Buckleys Ave.

Where can you do printing at Eastgate?
Printing services are available at the Linwood Library (basic printing, photocopying and scanning) and Warehouse Stationery offers a full range of printing services at their copy centre.
Photos can be printed at Unichem and Warehouse Stationery.
Does Santa go to Eastgate?
Yes! Santa goes to Eastgate every year.
His arrival is usually flagged by a celebration with bouncy castles and entertainment. He is then seated in his grotto for photos.
Eastgate Santa is a little bit famous (and he’s our favourite!).
Can you buy Christmas trees at Eastgate?
You certainly can. The far car park bordering Chelsea Street is home to Xmas tree sellers from mid-November each year.
You can also buy fake plastic trees at The Warehouse.
Is there lift access?
Yes, there is a lift between Postie and Pascoes as well as escalators between Bargain Chemist and the exit near Phat Philip.
Where is centre management at Eastgate?
The centre management is located at the top of the stairs opposite the library.
