How to Use Your WINZ Payment Card
Your WINZ payment card works just like a regular Eftpos card. That means you can use the card at the terminal just like a regular card.
Swipe your card as usual.
Select CHQ as the account, and then enter your Pin, which is the last four digits of the card number.
The cashier will ask you to sign the receipt.
If you have any credit left on your card, you can spend it at another approved store.
Can I use a payment card to shop online?
Unfortunately, Countdown does not accept WINZ payment cards for online shopping – we asked them, as you can see by the chat log below.
Countdown confirmed they only accept payment cards for in-store purchases (with signature), not online purchases.
Things to Know About Your Payment Card
- The credit on your card expires after seven days – make sure you use it up
- You are not able to purchase gift cards with the remaining balance.
