GrabNone! – GrabOne Goes Into Liquidation – What It Means for Your Vouchers

Well, this is a bit of a blow — GrabOne has gone into liquidation.

A notice on the website confirms that Global Marketplace New Zealand Ltd, which ran the popular deals site, has officially shut up shop.

Liquidators Daniel Stoneman and Neale Jackson from Calibre Partners were appointed on Thursday, saying the business has stopped trading due to funding issues and that they’ll now try to sell the company’s remaining assets.

In short:
👉 No new deals will be posted.
👉 Existing deals aren’t being promoted.
👉 And if you’ve got an unredeemed voucher, it’s time to act fast.

The liquidators have said refunds won’t be coming from GrabOne itself.

Instead, customers will need to contact the business listed on their voucher to see if it’ll still be honoured.

Christchurch legends Waffle Haus have agreed to honour the voucher value as a discount, taking the hit for their customers in an already tough hospo economy – so get out and support them.

Consumer NZ recommends getting in touch with your bank right away if you paid by debit or credit card — you might be able to request a chargeback.

And if all else fails, you can register your claim directly with the liquidators at Calibre Partners.

The GrabOne Facebook page — which was still posting deals just days ago — has since vanished.

If you’ve got a voucher sitting in your inbox, don’t leave it too long. Contact the merchant, try your bank, and get your claim in early.

Sadly, it looks like the days of cheap weekends away via GrabOne are over. 💔
