Kmart Payment Methods 10 Things You Need to Know

Kiwis love Kmart; it offers cheap, stylish, and durable products that look great.

You can always find something you love at Kmart, so it’s handy to know which payment methods Kmart offers to find the one that best suits you.

Kmart offers a range of payment methods to suit as well as their own gift cards and the usual EFTPOS and debit cards.

Kmart New Zealand Payment Methods

Kmart New Zealand accepts payment via PayPal, EFTPOS, Visa, and Mastercard. We discuss some of the others below.

Does Kmart Accept Afterpay?

Kmart accepts Afterpay for both online and in-store purchases. Afterpay is available for purchases over $70 up to $2000.

To pay via Afterpay when shopping online, you shop as usual and then choose Afterpay as your payment method.

You will then be redirected to the Afterpay store to complete your purchase. If you are already registered, you can log in and pay.

If you are not yet an Afterpay customer, you will need to go through the application process.

If you are wondering if Kmart does Afterpay in-store nz, you will be happy to hear that you can now use Afterpay in all Kmart stores.

You will be charged for your first instalment when you make your in-store purchase, with payment reminders starting two weeks after your purchase.

Does Kmart do Layby?

Layby – the way our Mum’s bought all out Christmas throughout the nineties and noughties is not offered at any Kmart stores in New Zealand or through the online shop.

The act of filling your trolley and walking to the layby counter to start your layby contract is now in the history books.

With the advent of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) merchants, many retailers no longer offer layby.

As for Laybuy – the BNPL provider – Kmart New Zealand is not currently a merchant.

Does Kmart Accept Zippay?

Zippay does not currently list Kmart as one of its merchants. We will update this page if that changes.

Does Kmart accept Prezzy Cards?

Prezzy cards can be used like a Visa card which means they are accepted anywhere that accepts Visa. This means that Kmart does accept Prezzy Cards.

Does Kmart Accept Humm?

Kmart does not currently accept Humm as a payment method.

Does Kmart Accept Winz Payment Cards?

We checked in with Kmart online chat, and Winz payment cards are not currently accepted as a payment method.

Does Kmart Accept Westfield Gift Cards?

Kmart accepts Westfield gift cards for stores located in Westfield malls. These include Kmart Albany, Riccarton, and St Lukes.

Does Kmart Accept Q Card?

Yes, you can use your Q Card at Kmart across New Zealand.

Does Kmart Accept American Express?

We’re big fans of American Express here at Shopquery, so we were delighted to discover that American Express is accepted at Kmart New Zealand both in-store and online.

Does Kmart Take Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is accepted anywhere that offers contactless payments. Kmart New Zealand has made a big switch to contactless over the past few years.

This means you can use Apple Pay at any of the registers or self-check kiosks at Kmart stores across New Zealand.

As you can see Kmart offers a variety of payment methods. We pride ourselves on keeping our information up to date so we will ensure this page is updated with any changes.

Happy shopping!
