Bunnings New Zealand has an excellent return policy that makes it easy to get your money back. They offer free returns on most items.

Plus, Bunnings process your refund quickly so you can get your money back as soon as possible.

Bunnings New Zealand offers a comprehensive returns policy to make sure that customers are satisfied and confident in their purchases. 

If, for any reason, you are not happy with an item, simply return it within 30 days and they will refund the purchase price. 

Bunnings New Zealand also offers a product exchange or store credit option if you change your mind after purchase. 

For items purchased online that you’ve fallen out of love with, simply contact the customer service team, at [email protected] or call 0800 35 00 11, and they will arrange a solution for you.

Can I Return an Item to Bunning NZ Without a Receipt?

Yes, you can return an item without a receipt. You’ll need to bring ID (Drivers license, Passport, etc.) which will be recorded by the Returns team. 

Without a receipt, Bunnings will only offer an exchange voucher or a swap for ‘like’ items.

All returning goods must be unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition.

Can I Return Something to Bunnings if I’ve Opened It?

Yes you can return something to Bunnings if it has been opened. If you have the receipt and keep the packaging (even if it has been opened you must bring the opened packaging when you do the return.

The item must be unused and able to be sold. 

If the item is faulty you may return it in any condition as long as you have the receipt to receive a full refund. 

Are there any Exceptions?

Unfortunately, there are exceptions to the return policy. 

  • Any custom-made items, 
  • Items that have been cut to size at your request, 
  • Tinted paint,
  • Toilet seats (not in their original packaging) can not be exchanged. 

If any of these items are faulty, don’t match the product description or sample, or are not fit for purpose, you may still be able to exchange them.

These items are still covered under the Consumers Guarantees Act 1993.

The Bunnings Warehouse returns policy is relatively flexible. Returning items to Bunnings is an easy process.

It’s always a good idea to keep your receipt and the original packaging until you are satisfied the product meets your needs.

That said, Bunnings will honour returns without a receipt when the item is faulty or not fit for purpose.
